    🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴
    ✅Ingredients
    • 2 racks baby back ribs or pork spare ribs
    • 2 cups barbecue sauce
    DRY RUB
    • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
    ✅Instructions
1️⃣Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Just slide your fingers around the side to loosen it up and rip it right off.
2️⃣In a small bowl, stir together the ingredients for the dry rub. Rub this mixture generously over the outside of the ribs to coat.
3️⃣Put your ribs in the crockpot. Drizzle on 1 1/2 cups of barbecue sauce, reserving 1/2 cup for later.
4️⃣Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. The more racks in the pot, the longer you'll need to cook.
5️⃣Gently remove the racks and lay them out on a foil lined baking sheet. Add the reserved barbecue sauce on top.
6️⃣Broil under a broiler for 3-5 minutes until the barbecue sauce starts to bubble and caramelize. Alternately you could wrap them in foil and throw them on a heated grill for the same effect.

Good recipe, but my ribs were overdone and fell off the bones long before I wanted them to. Next time I will try it for less time.

Ok, quick question or two...so we are giving this recipe a try tomorrow for the first time and we wanted to get some good quality ribs. So, i went to a local butcher shop. However, these ribs look like they came straight off the cow and are much more bloody than yours. So my question is, will that cook itself off in the crock pot without any issues or...? Where do you tend to buy your meats?

Is there anyway to cook it faster?

    • Uisce Preston
      Uisce Preston 3 months ago

The title literally states that this is a "Crockpot", i.e. slow cooker, recipe. She even says that you could half the time by using a higher heat setting. Why would you come to a SLOW COOKER rib tutorial and ask how to make ribs FAST. When cooked at high temperatures for shorter periods of time, rib meat can quickly dry out and the abundant connective tissues (that holds all mammalian rib cages together) will tighten and toughen instead of dissolve. There are plenty of ways to rush/ruin ribs. Perhaps a cursory search elsewhere.

You know what? You should make your own cook book with all your best works like this, lasagna, etc with pictures of how it ended up
You should make a cook book for desserts and another for main meals
It would be amazing, I know I would buy it
