Rafa for ever vamoooos 🎾
23:50 that banana swing😮
Loved it When he jumped on uncle tony
this is not tennis, but boxe. its not funny.
BOTH PARTICIPANT IS STAMINA FULL, PRACTICE FULL, TECHNICAL FULL, POWERFUL FULL, AND STRONG ........BUT BETTER IS WINER.....
Djokovic for some reason has been nadal's bitch over the years, vamos rafa
When Rafa is fully 100% or even 70-80% fit no one can really mess with him at RG..End of story
Is Djokovic the best player on clay after Nadal? I think so .
This was after 2011 when Novak had beaten Rafa in six or seven straight finals. But Rafa reasserted himself in his backyard.
Watching after 19th slam
I'm trying to see more of Nadals points, I'm 7 mins in and their just showing Djokovic points.
Djokovic has lost 2 RG finals by double fault. 2012 and 2014.
Amazing #12 Rafa's house indeed
Nadal had to win this match. A loss would have destroyed him mentally. But he was clearly the better player and this was not 2009 or 2015 even though his backhand was nowhere as penetrating as it is today
@Nina No, but you are ignoring the context of this match. Rafa had lost 3 straight finals to Djokovic. A 4th loss on clay at RG would have broken him for the year if not longer plus what happened at Wimbledon and the US open that year? This was a crucial win as was 2011. Also his win against Medvedev was just as important for many reasons.
It's not easy to "destroy" Rafael Nadal mentally. We have seen it over and over again. It just doesnt happen.
The fucking KING OF TENNIS!!
Holy shit! That backhand by Nadal at 1:47 is fantastic! He doesn't get enough credit for his backhands. And he always seems to hit his best ones from an awkward position. Incredible strength.
prime nadal on clay!
Damn djokovic played absolutely incredible and nadal still won. There will never be a more dominante player on clay than nadal. Never.
@bubufubu Thiem has shown remarkable consistency since 2016 at the French open (SF, SF, RU,RU). I think he can be a multiple French open winner one day but hopefully after Rafa calls it quits 😁 though I will be very happy for him if he wins against Rafa too. The guy is like Rafa in many ways, humble, hard worker and a class act and does he have the game !
There will, likely, never be a more dominant player on one surface than Nadal on clay. No one else comes remotely close.
Rafael Nadal is the master of clay courtsAndRoger Federer is the master of grass courtsSimply French open is meant for Nadal and Wimbledon is meant for Federer....I love both these legends..Go ahead both Nadal and Federer❤️❤️
u wrong ..roger dominant no where near nadal dominant in clay ..i not call roger kinf of grass coz he lost to many time in final..in other hand nadal is unbeatable in final 12 final 12 win
Novak certainly gave it his best, no doubt.. Nadal is just unrelenting on clay
The greatest tennis you'll see is Nadal on clay. nobody else dominates their favorite surface more than nadal does on his
THE GREATEST CLAY COURT PLAYER OF ALL TIME! IT IS SAD THAT BACK WHEN THIS WAS AIRED EVERYONE COULD WATCH FOR FREE!👍 NOW ONLY IF U HAVE CABLE.👎 When the big 3 are gone nobody will pay anything.
Rafa clay king.... Joker Nole tenis hard core GOAT
i hope i can understand why exactly nadal is deadly on clay, and why cant he do anything against djoko on hard court? can it be confidence and belief? you just dont see nadal going for deadly winners deep in the courts a lot on hard court. i dont think these type of deep hard shots has something to do with the surface.
Why don't you flip the question around. Why is Federer so tough on grass but can't beat Nadal on clay
Nadal has more time on clay.
In hard and grass court you need a good serv and flat shot but in clay you need to work hardly to win a point
Back in those days these two were crushing each other
and to think by the start of the match he only had 6 Roland Garros titles. Now he has 12. UNREAL!A lot of amazing records will be broken, but nobody never, ever will win 12 Roland Garros' Titles ever again. It is impossible. They should change the name of the Tournament to RAFAEL NADAL OPEN, Roland wouldn't mind.
11:34 unreal power and intensity!!!
Roland Garros makes for the most compelling matches to watch. No free points on serve here, you have to play the point.
Jafatard always say that
Djokovic played very well but too many unforced errors
He had to be super aggressive. He can't expect to play his normal game against Rafa on clay and win
Double fault king Chokovic
9:26 That was LET ??
علما انو اكره جوكوفيش بس بالاخير انقهرت علي
Nadal he will still no.1 in the world
We will see in next 2-3 years. Djokovič will be GOAT!
N A D A L 👑
3 magic double faults from Nole as usual in very decisive moments
What a strange final. The scoreline says Nadal takes it in 4 which makes it seem like a typical Roland Garros final. However it doesn't tell you;1) Nadal being very dominant the first two sets and Djokovic unable to hold onto his serve2) After being 0-2 in the third, Djokovic absolutely pummeling Nadal to win 8 straight games3) Nadal getting the match delayed at that point since he was under the kosh and needed a breather in order to avoid a fifth set4) Nadal showing incredible mental resilience to comeback and win a very even fourth set
Rafa's house indeed
These nbc openings are iconic
Nadal made French open interesting. Otherwise was most boring grandslam before.
Love u nadal
Like Nasdal and Federal matches when Nasal plays Djokovic the matches become amazing to watch. I like to watch Novak too but Nadal is who I am a fan of but love to watch these two play no matter who wins.
One watches these matches and realize that there are peak and valleys in every success story. You see the fight, the struggle, the ultra high skill level and shot making of these two competitors and it's like an example of life to everyone of us watching. Watching it seven years later, and I still feel the tension.
If one of these three (Roger, Rafa, Novak) weren't born; there would be two 20+ Grand Slam winners; or a 25+ GS champion.
7 years later, the guy wins his 12th French Open and also his 18th grandslam! Sweet :)
radamel falcao 19 :)
Wow, to think Rafa won the most Roland Garros's back in 2012, and he has won an extra 5 on top of that.
Nadal,is the greatest tennis player of all time. !
The greatest clay player of all time. !*
Rafa must have nightmares when he sees novaks backhand
And Djokovic with Rafa. Look the head to head, most iguality
Not in Roland Garros tho
They're hitting so hard but the ball seems like it's in slow motion.
It looks the opposite of the U.S Open back before hardcourts were slowed and when balls were smaller @Robert Bilson
That's the beauty of clay, it's very deceiving to the eye.
Watching it after Nadal's 12th crown anyone?.. It's my honor to be a Nadal fan for more than 12 years now.
Me too! Since he stepped on the court i was dedicated fan!! VAMOS RAFA!🏆🇪🇸
Huge fan of Rafa's the Goat!
Welcome! I officially joined the Rafa fan club after 07 Wimbledon. I’ll be coming up on 12 years next month.
28:14Take a snapshot here ... this is the only time you will see Nadal throw a racquet on the tennis court ...
Rafa has 12 of these now. Not even realistic
Nadal 18 Grand Slams now.
He will break the slam record of Fed just by showing up at RG. Doesnt even have to play the other 3 majors. This from a Novak and Roger fan. Hats off..an amazing champion esp on that crushed red brick
Djokovic's backhand is cobra-quick with its change of direction. Would rather watch him on the court than any other player, and by far. Still great after all these years. Easily the best male tennis player from 2011 on. I hope he's got some greatness in him for a few more years yet. Can't enjoy that greatness forever, I guess, mortality being what it is and so on. Heck, Rafa won this match, but I was much more impressed with watching Novak on the court than Rafa, and that's saying something, for Rafa is otherworldly at the French Open. Novak is the only player that can make Rafa hit one more shot after Rafa has ripped one of his bullet forehands.
Rafa and Novak both are great then Roger but there level is almost same .
All said and done it is still 28-26 in favour of Serbinator .Clay season is done and dusted. It can only get better for the Serb if and when he meets the Bull while GOAT is praying draw at Wimbledon doesn't put him across Serbinator in semis. Bull can be tamed on grass by GOAT.
Great mini-comeback by Djokovic!
Without question this is Rafa's house
This was djokovic in his prime form, he had beaten everyone(including nadal) in every surface, but even a prime djokovic couldnt beat nadal in french open
And done with 12th title a few days back. What a match from these two amazing players. They bring out the very best in them. But there can be only one King. And this is my idol Rafa ladies and gentlemen!!!!!
