I think the reason for Bf6 is because maybe he wants double protection on the g7 square. Like if u agree

  • MrArtless1
    MrArtless1 2 months ago

I got this, you just aren't bad enough to understand a bad move. He wanted to move his knight to a better square to threaten whites attacking pieces, so he moved the bishop so it defended the square it was currently occupying, which was double attacked.

    •Maybe tal didn't what to Rd7 to Re7
•Cos then Black's night on e8 has to move then white will simply put Ke6 to Kc7 with the double attack on the rook and the bishop & then rook is guarding that knight

6:01 -- Despite the "trick" of Nezhmetdinov, the engine considers White over a full point behind here -- provide Black can keep finding good moves ...of which Bf6 was clearly not among the half-dozen lines that showed Black maintaining an edge (with the being h6). Bf6 was a game-losing blunder.

Nezhmetdinov apparently had a top rating of 2455. That's generally IM territory. He seems better than that, but ratings don't lie, and portray your performance over time, and don't just reflect your temporary moments of extreme lucidity.
Also, even in this game, Tal quickly, and easily, achieved a better position (which he then threw away himself). So, it would suck indeed if he didn't get the GM title because of being a Muslim; but I'm not sold on the conspiracy yet.

Hi , i would like to know what would happen after rook to h6 by Rashid, Tal plays bishop takes a2?then rook to h8 check will be met by rook to f8 neither rook to e6 is not possible because of the bishop. Tal then equalize the game and just needs to connect his rooks and centralize the king.By the way great game played by Rashid who is my favorite.
