BEST CHEESESTEAK Sandwich in Philadelphia! Philly Cheesesteak Tour

  • Published on Aug 7, 2018
  • So glad that I got to do a Cheesesteak Tour when I visited Philadelphia this time because when you are in Philly, you got to eat some good Philly Cheesesteak!!
Cheesesteak sandwiches have always been one of my favorite kind of sandwiches, that's why I had to make it my mission to see what the best Cheesesteak Sandwich that Philly has to offer!
Not only did I get to taste the cheesiest Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich that was oozing out with cheese, but I also got to try one of the biggest Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches too! This Cheesesteak sandwich is filled with an insanely amount of toppings, full of juicy seasoned meat, fried onions, peppers and most of all, and it has so much cheese!
Mmm, thank you, Philadelphia for your fantastic Cheesesteak Sandwiches, I will be back for more of that cheesy sandwich!

    4)Max’s Steaks

It's strange but I don't see the appeal in the bread, cheese and meat combo on its own.. It needs some vegetables to be tasty ...hah. I'm not from USA and we don't really have this kind of food so maybe that's why.

Your eating that larger cheese steak wrong! You’re suppose to pinch the top with one hand and the other hand is at the bottom. That’s why the toppings were falling off

I have to speak up here! In the early 1990's, I was a short order cook here in San Francisco at a place that is still open called, The Cheese Steak Shop. It's a San Francisco Bay Area chain owned and operated by a Philadelphia native named Keith. He taught us the original way to cook and prepare a cheese steak: oil on the grill, a portion of sliced white onion, a portion of sliced sirloin steak, chop up the steak and onion until minced, shape lengthwise to either a 6" or 15" hoagie roll, cover with slices of Provolone cheese, cover with hoagie roll for one minute to let cheese melt, scoop up and over, sprinkle on top with sweet and hot cherry peppers and serve. The owner flies the Amoroso hoagie rolls in from Philly too!

True Cheesesteaks MUST have a roll that has substance. When you bite into it there has to be resistance. Wimpy rolls are not allowed. I’m fortunate enough I was able to procure a nice used (over $500 new) meat slicer for $50. The older gentleman just lost interest in making his own jerky.

You should try "Joe's Steaks, it use to be called "Chinks", because that is the owners Nickname. But for some reason the owners were pressured by people that find everything racist, and the funny thing is, the Chinese people didn't have a problem at all with the name, because it's the Owners Nick name, and they had that same name for over 30 years. lol.
It's crazy how some people can find everything racist, even if the race of people didn't have any problem with it.

I was born and raised in Philly. And I must say, other places and states may claim they have great cheese steaks, but Philly has mastered the Cheese Steak, it can not be done better anywhere else but Philly.
Have you ever been out of Philly and tried a cheese steak? If you have, you will know no where beats Philly with making cheese steaks.
A lot of places out of Philly like to use the leanest meat possible, which makes the steak dry and no flavor. It's one of the many mistakes the places out of Philly make.
