The arrow went 3,700 feet up in the air. I got this because in total the arrow took was 18.50 seconds to come up and down. So you divid 18.25 * 2 = 9.25 and times by 400 because it goes 400 feet per send one and = 3,700 feet.
You are incorrect. The speed of the arrow in unknown and it is a variable not a constant. The correct method would be to start with the acceleration caused by gravity (g=32.2feet/s), integrate 2 times with respect to time and you get distance=(g*t^2)/2. so distance = (32.2*9.25^2)/2 = 1378 feet
Travel time of 19s; Therefore 9.5 sec to reach its maximum height.v=400 feet/sMah. height = 400f/s x 9.5s = 3,800 feet / 5280 feet/mile = 0.72 miles
