Seven months have passed since a deadly virus hit New York City and the rest of the world, crippling the population. When the virus hit, The Division, a unit of civilian sleeper agents, was activated as the last line of defense. Since then, Division agents have been fighting relentlessly to save what remains.
For The Division, the stakes are higher than ever. Washington, D.C. - the most heavily protected city on earth - is at risk, leaving the entire nation on the brink of collapse. If Washington, D.C., is lost, then the nation falls. As a Division agent who has been in the field for seven months, you and your team are the last hope to stop the fall of society after the pandemic collapse.
Developed by Ubisoft Massive and the same teams that brought you Tom Clancy’s The Division®, Tom Clancy’s The Division® 2 is an online open world, action shooter RPG experience set in a collapsing and fractured Washington, D.C. This rich new setting combines a wide variety of beautiful, iconic, and realistic environments where the player will experience the series’ trademark for authenticity in world building, rich RPG systems, and fast-paced action like never before. Play solo or co-op with a team of up to four players to complete a wide range of activities, from the main campaign and adversarial PvP matches to the Dark Zone - where anything can happen.
In the wake of the virus, storms, flooding, and subsequent chaos have radically transformed Washington, D.C. Explore a living open world full of diverse environments, from flooded urban areas to historic sites and landmarks, during one of the hottest summers in history. The streets have been overrun with enemy factions, each with its own agenda and each vying for control of DC. It will be up to you to liberate the city and protect what remains of society.
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 was built with an “endgame-first” mentality, ensuring players always have access to fresh, unique, and diverse activities long after completing the main campaign. Tom Clancy’s The Division 2’s endgame will introduce brand new challenges and progression systems, unique twists and surprises, and for the first time, raids. Players will also be able to access a wealth of post-launch content, including a full year of free additional story-driven missions, map expansions, and gameplay modes.
After completing the main campaign, gain access to new specializations such as demolitionist, sharpshooter, and survivalist. Each specialization will open up an entire new progression system with new skills, mods, and unique talents to acquire and maximize your agent efficiency in your chosen role.
Civilians and enemy factions are constantly striving to survive, vying for necessities such as food, medicine, and ammunition. As the factions face off against each other in a ravaged DC, they will fight to seize control of resources and locations - and for their very survival. The various needs and motivations from each faction will collide, triggering different encounters between enemy and friendly factions, civilians, and ultimately you as an Agent, creating a dynamic living world full of surprises.
Civilians have banded together in settlements to rebuild their society, but their very existence is threatened. Work closely with them to keep them safe and in turn, they will come to your aid and provide supplies and assistance to build up your base of operations, giving a deeper meaning to the people and the world around you.
The Dark Zone is an untamed area of the map with some of the best loot in the game. The Dark Zone is also the most dangerous area in the game, where fear, betrayal, and tension are high, as any other agent can turn against you and steal your hard-earned loot. In Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, this playground was designed to provide a fair and exciting experience to all players, regardless of their level of progression.

Has anyone experienced this? In the District Union Area Stronghold you get right up to the second last encounter and your character can no longer walk? No matter if you fast travel? You can do every other action but not walk? And you’ve wasted the last fucking half an hour for fucking nothing? Anyone experiencing this?

The tidal basin update really hurt things mods are now best in spot like div 1 again armor is still pointless skill power even more pointless now the chem launcher change hurts the ability to quick shot roll making it weaker for skill builds tidal basin wasn't a very good stronghold it has 0 new mechanics or anything it's basically a long encounter from div 1 with a normal kill such such mission added in

Nice job ruining what was a great PVP game in the division 1. This is a PVE game. You get completely punished for anything PVP. You die in the DZ when you get jumped by a team of 4 and lose an entire rank. Then you go after that team. Kill three of them and then die to the ridiculous NPCs and boom, lose another rank. Normalization punished players who take the time to play the game and make good builds. Solo is impossible in the darkzone. If you go rogue there are no rewards, only punishment when you die from NPC's or eventually die fighting players even if you kill 4 or 5 before you die. I bought this game for the endgame PVP and now that i have got there it's complete trash. No wonder it takes an hour to find anyone in the darkzone. Nobody wants to go in there because you get punished for doing anything other than farming. Hope the PVE players that cried in division 1 are happy that they finally got their PVE game.

how about reworking high end skill mods like: you can use any highend without skillpower restriction to put them on, but they perform stronger the higher your sp is. like below 300 sp u get nothing, 500 you get a bit, 1000 more, 2,5k way more. E.g. chem launcher +1 charge with x sp, +2 charge with xx sp, etc. that would finally make the mod hoarding obsolete that unnecessarily consumes time and stash. Also it would erase the Nonsense of being incapable to craft lower mods once the bench is maxed out. you hopefully dont seriously want players to grind a second/third char to 18 to find Green and Blue mods (generic Blue mods fit in any slot and coint up to 30%dmg combined????) that are actually better (or even usable in the First place) than highends!

Hey guys . I have a question. Why is the Clans limited to minimum of 4 players. Kind of unfair for those solo players or only play with a couple of friends.
Why should they not get the same bonus features as those who play multiplayer only or mostly?

I am really not a fan of how chem launcher has been changed. now you double tap to have chem heal drop right on you instead of single tap. I think this is an awful change and REALLY hope they revert it or give us an option. It used to be you just tapped it and dropped heals on yourself, or held it so you could shoot it with aim. That felt nice and intuitive. Now I'm CONSTANTLY finding myself with chem launcher in my hands and firing it at enemies when normally it would have been put away... That's the nice way of saying this update sucks.. I'm certain you'll hear from many more players about this one, played with 10 other dudes since the last update and heard EVERY single person mention it in dislike. Besides that specific thing, the update is awesome! Keep up the great work over there! You guys are one of the best teams I'd ever seen work on a game and I have so much faith in where this game is going!

    • Hex Elahne

    • Hex Elahne
      Hex Elahne 5 months ago

just got caught up to the reasoning behind this change. I do believe it's good for the combat chem launcher effects. But when it comes to the healing one this change is detrimental to how we've grown used to using it. But honestly, even when I played around with the poison plague launcher it NEVER felt awkward to hold the button down aim and release. All in all I just think this update was a bad call even after hearing the reasoning about it. On console it is most certainly not smoother, it may be a different experience on PC but as an Xbox player it feels to the point where I almost want to find another healing solution just so I can stop having that terrible feeling of accidentally shooting a heal cloud at my targets.

Infusion system please! Why can't I infuse my gear? So frustrating! Doesn't matter what loadout it build I have because with every world tier launch it becomes obsolete....🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

  • Matthew Edwards
    Matthew Edwards 5 months ago

Firstly, I mainly play on Xbox One. And the change to the chem launcher has the complete opposite effect to what's intended. I completely understand the need for it on PC, but using a controller if you're using the chem heal you now effectively have to equip it, aim it at the ground then fire, and then wait for the heal delay to pass. It's actually rather painful to use.
I'm not asking for it to be reverted, not at all. What I'm suggesting is adding a double tap option for an instant cast. Exactly how it was prior to the update but instead of just tapping LB (for me) I double tap it. That way we can cast the chem heal with the need to equip, aim, fire and unequip to go back to shooting.

I'm giving this game a break. Nerfing ruins the fun in games. Specialization weapons are now pointless as ammo drops for them rarely if ever happen now and extended magazines are trash. Hardly extend anything. Skill mods are weak as hell.
This game is turning into nerf central when so many were complaining about difficulty they make it harder with nerfs.

    • Skippy Cox

But in a bullet spongey game it makes more since to have that bigger magazine. It’s supposed to be an extended mag not a couple extra bullets mag.

That's the point though. They didn't want it to be OP, it was a bit silly being able to fire your assault rifle for like 20 seconds before reloading. I loved it, but it was silly.

    • Damaged Industries
Damaged Industries 5 months ago +1

@The 007 I hope it's a bug, not only that but the workaround i use (switching back and forth between specs which refills the ammo) is useless as when you join a group for a mission it takes all the ammo away, though you can do it after everyone groups up. It could also been an intentional nerf, but I think the dev lowered it WAY too much if it was.

    • The 007
      The 007 5 months ago +1
