the engine being in the back reminds me of a bullpup
It looks so good
Uuuuuuugggggllllllyyyyy
At last the Corvette is mid engine. I have been waiting for that. But i still have to say that my favorite Corvette is the 1963-67 Corvette Sting Ray and especially the Sports Coupe just like the one i have. But the C8 is a great runner up. Think of the price for a standard C8 is below 60 K and it will most probably park both the Ferrari and Lamborghini
The Corvette is reason enough for the government to LOAN GM money (which was paid back and the US Government has made a huge profit off GM stock). The Corvette is the Ferrari of America and just keeps getting better every year. No other American car comes close to the Vette.
What new car has a four speed automatic Jay, come on haha
awesome looking stingray
Resembles a ferrari.
Over 400 HP....Paddles....190Mph.... $60k Yep added to the list. Thanks Jay! 😎👍
It’s nothing more then a supped up fiero and beside the mr2 the fiero was also rear engine, the covare was mid engine also. The fiero had room for tall people
I would put a turbo in one....theres only 2 things don’t like about it, your gonna see thousands of these on the street soon, and it copies a lot of Lamborghini features.
I think they struck gold with this new configuration but im not a corvette purist. Id like to know the opinion of those who are 🤔🤔🤔
Looks like compact Lafrrari
if they would of release the stingray from the tranformers movie people would of bought , to bad they did not lol
I stopped listening at “duel clutch”. The only time a duel clutch would be beneficial is if you’re on the track racing in an F1 circuit. Otherwise it’s more fun to drive a Tesla.
The camera work is so bad...
To late.born dead.gm is a zombie
I hate the new corvette... so ugly..
F Lee Ermeys son ?
Looks like an nsx
If you've always wanted a European mid engine supercar, this is obviously a fantastic and cost effective alternative. But it doesn't have the look. I think Chevrolet screwed up the style of the Camaro, the Silverado, and now the Corvette. All three's latest versions appearance was probably their best designs to date, and now the new ones. Strike three.
Camaro from the back, McLaren P1 everywhere else 😂😂😂😂
They cut the part where Jay was driving and said it felt like a Go Cart. I remember when I first heard it I thought that wasnt a very marketable comment by Jay but now it's not there.
Jay you better slim down because you won't be able to get in half the car's you own.
Power, Price, Looks, It's the baddest sports car ever created!
Yuck
Tbh if I had enough money to buy a sports or super car I'd buy a European car. The Tesla Roadster is a exception though, that hasn't even released yet and its my new favorite car.
I like it... just need to change those ugly rims.
Bring a 7 speed manual or keep it in your barn!
Jay...you look stunning in that outfit!
I just watched the Acura NSX episode, there are some similarities. I miss the hot girl though..
My x-girlfriend had a red MR2 Turbo!
She crashed it..
Back engines are nice!
Andrew Boston I’m sure no one cares
At 60k, these will sell very well!!
Hey, you! The guy in the purple shirt. Who are you & what have you done with Jay???
Everyone talking 0 - 60 times and price lmao. We all know that the Nordschleife times what really matters.
Jay will donate his car collection to me...
Looks like a Ferrari front with a Camaro back. Sad. 😔
Looks like a Camaro from the rear. I really don't like it does not have that Corvette cool look.
This awesome jay💜🙏💜
I'd take a Tesla P100 D over this pig with lipstick. At least I can seat 5. :-/
When the 2014 body style came out, i called it the Pontiac Corvette because it looked more like a Pontiac than a Chevrolet. Turned out the designer was the same guy who designed the Aztek driven in Breaking Bad. Now we have in this video the Chevy Fiero.
Don't get wrong, it's a beautiful car, but that's not the point. It's not a question of quality but of identity. Under the hood, so to speak,, this car now has more in common with the Fiero than the Corvette in terms of lineage.
I was born and raised in Pontiac Michigan and have been a major Pontiac fan all my life, including having owned a 1970 GTO judge. But I'm also a Corvette fan, having owned two.
As Jay mentioned, they toyed around with mid engine designs before, but decided against it because as the Corvette team decided, and I quote, "it's just not a Corvette."
Yes, Zora wanted a mid engine car, but what his conception ended up as, pre production called "the P car," originally intended for Chevy but ultimately given to Pontiac, was the Fiero. Since it was a completely new lineage (different from the Corvair), it didn't matter which GM division got it. Zora's mid engine dream took shape as the Fiero (also a great car in its own niche), not the Aerovette, because it just wasn't a Corvette.
RIP Corvette, b. 1963 (yes I know the name was used since 1958, but those were mechanically not unique, unlike Zora's designs which began production in 1963 and continued in concept through 2019) d. 2019. You will be missed.
I’m sure I’m in the minority here, but I don’t like the mid engine vett. I have always considered the corvette an angry muscle car that can run with the super cars!
The C7 Stingray is and will always be my favorite!
Big deal, my motorhome does zero to 60 in 23 seconds. Why don't I have to go 200 mph, because I can go anytime I want to because it comes with a full size bathroom. And damn near impossible to get a speeding ticket driving this land yacht.
4 or 5 speed automatic Jay? Not for 20 years...
I don’t like it! It looks like a squished Camaro with a car kit attached.
Yup! 😂
They have the right idea. But the wheels and tires don’t look aggressive enough. If you look at a Ferrari 488 pista or a Porsche 911 Turbo S
Which is in the category of what this car is trying to compete with. They have a better aggressively looking body. The wheels and tires look more racy an aggressive looking this car looks like the fenders are swallowing the tires . I just think they could’ve made the car more aggressive. They should’ve made the base model Corvette aggressive like the grand sport and make the green sport more aggressive and made the Zo6 and ZR1 more aggressive
Love the lines but the paint is horrid. GM could spend a lil more on a sure enough paint job and have one slick looking beauty.
If you think about the price of this car it really is impressive. The thing is near the level of a 570s but it’s a lot cheaper
So when you crash this little monster? The engine end up on the back of your neck or up in the Boodie hole right😂😂🤣
Roofline duplicates greenhouse of the iconic Ferrari 365 GTB 4 cam.. To me that is very good.
They call that steering wheel,
the squarecle
Hey Jay, the Columbian drug cartel from Scarface called, they want there clothes back
The styling looks like a McLaen met a ferrari met a lambo...nothing unique. However, my fave Vett, the C2 took the bulges from the 50s testarossa and blended that with a the front of a 60s lamborghini sedan and a GullWing merc roof. Its hard to see how things will be viewed in time. The Shelby Cobra was typical of european sports cars in the late 50s early 60s.
Should Jay even still be driving?
The only thing is lacking there are shorts, boys. How old are You mentally anyways?
I'm putting in overtime now. I'm getting a black one, maybe white. Than give the cops a good race. Chevy makes some beautiful cars.
sorry but the interior looks like something Hyundai designed...
Awesome looking car at an awesome price tag. Too bad it's still a Chevy...
MAYBE THE C9 WILL CLEAN UP THE SLOPPY DESIGN DETAILS LIKE THE CAMARO TAIL LIGHTS, THE OBNOXIOUS AIR INTAKES IN FRONT AND THE SHINY BLACK PLASTIC BITS.
ooooooooooh the mark up on this car
Just looks like a mash up of every other mid engine car out there.
Exactly what I thought. Doe snot need to be a bad thing though. Because it will be cheaper than most of those. Most others are better build and from better materials. But it seems that most US citizens don't care about quality. Quantity is their game.
