Easiest iPhone Glass Fix - WITH LASERS (Not clickbait)

  • Published on Oct 7, 2019
  • Glass breaks. Apple has once again made the back glass on their new iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro permanent. Apple charges 300 to 600 dollars to replace the glass back on their new iPhones. Lucky for us, there is now an easier way to replace the back glass on your iPhone 8, iPhone X, or even iPhone 11. And that is with the new Laser Separator machine. There are several brands out there, the one I use in this video is from REWA: bit.ly/2Ks6BmC
Watch us try to remove the back iPhone glass with liquid nitrogen: usclip.net/video/ZMKDoQ3qk7k/video.html (it is near impossible)
Watch the Apple Watch screen replacement: usclip.net/video/PZYWzsB_yfA/video.html (also near impossible)
For every step a company might take to make their product repairable, there are thousands of awesome people coming up with solutions, and ways to repair 'repairable' devices. This iPhone laser glass separator machine is one of the coolest solutions I have ever seen.

4:39 different phone to what he “repairs” I don’t know how that means the repair was fake ( which I doubt ) but why did they switch the phone
5:20 this is what I mean. At 4:39 no screen/oled panel etc etc. But then BANG as soon as the back glass is removed the phones screen is back?

Not sure why we have this glass back trend began at all. First we had plastics/polycarbonate. Then came in metal which was the best in my opinion as it gave feeling of premium without the hassle of worrying about the fragility( Loved the 6S). These glass backs are too impractical. Gorilla Glass and all which some vendors use is also just some scratch resistance but can be easily shattered. I will just wait out till this stupid trend passes out and then buy a new device

I bet apple is gonna make a sensor that checks if the glass has been removed at any point of life of the phone and if so, brick it; As apple is shit to their customers, I think that'll come in iPhone 12

    Thanks for sharing this tech.
Just watch Apple sue Rewa and/or associates for counterfeit (or whatever the Apple lawyers come up with) because the new glass you put on is not made by the Temple of Apple (God forbid), even the one sans logo. They did it to all the 3rd-party screen repair outfits (that never even claimed the new screen to be Apple anyway). Apple is anti-repair alright. But they will go to lengths to shut down anyone who cuts into their insane profit machinery.

I love how he says that apple will charge 500$ for this, when you can do it at home, then goes: Now take this sharp piece of metal, stab the phone a few times, rip the pieces of glass out from under the lens and know that the phone is no longer water proof and you’ve caused some permanent damage to your phone. Also you have to own an expensive laser engraver. The reason Apple charges so much is because the repaired phone is indistinguishable from a new phone, the water resistance is left intact and the whole thing is done professionally without damaging the sensitive components (no damaging the lens or inductive plate by trying to take the glass shards out). Not to mention that if they somehow did screw up, every Apple repair comes with a 90 day guarantee, where they will fix any issue that may arise due to faulty repairs for the low low price of absolutely free. All that being said this is a really cool machine and this does look like a really fun project to do, maybe once the iPhone X line is retired
