    i want to bake this cake on friday for a party on sunday. i am going to assemble it with buttercrem on saturday. should i level and simple syrup them on friday after they're cold or on saturday before putting on the buttercream? Thanks!

    what if your stand mixer has different settings from a kitchen aid stand mixer? cuz my stand mixer doesn't have a stir setting and it's lowest setting goes a bit faster than a stir

    I made this cake but it was dry😩😩😭 tasted good but too dry. Maybe next time, I will try it with the simple syrup

      +Jazmaritza Concepcion go to walmart and go to where the baking isle is at, where they have their wilton products. There's a cake leverler there for about $6-$7. Easiest thing ever. Slide the cake across the string and you have a leveled tiered

      Supposed to be so you can stack, carve and the crumb is tighter. The simple sugar on top provides a bit of moister and makes it perfect

    I follow this recipe to the T, but when it was done and cool off I took it off the pan and it was really oily from the butter, don't understand where I went wrong. I follow her book recipe for vanilla cake.I cut it and half some part where dark like you can see where the greasy butter was. That strange.

    I can't seem to make the italian meringue buttercream. I follow your steps exactly but then after I beat the egg whites to stiff peaks and add the sugar, when I add the butter, it gets super liquidy all of a sudden?

    Hi... Whenever I bake a cake that has butter in it and refrigerate it, it becomes dry... Can u tell me why that happens and how could it be prevented?

    I'm not sure if your "perfect cake" was dense and hard because mine was! I follow every single step on this video and my cake didnt had a good flavor and it was really hard, I trusted this recipe and no body like the cake because it was hard. It wasn't soft and fluffy, are yours cakes hard and it's that what you sell?

    Thank u Yolanda.. I tried your vabilla cake recipe and it came out superb... My son & hubby just loved it... infact when I made it for d 2nd time in some cake competition I stood 2nd.. everybody just loved it onfaft now I get orders also..

    Make this cake !! You won’t be sorry ! The best recipe EVER. so easy to follow. Make sure you don’t cheat on any of the ingredients and you will get that beautiful cake you want.     I am in the middle of making this cake and my kitchen smells soooo good!!! I noticed once i took the cake out, the middle starte to cave in whete i put my toothpick in???? Did i do something wrong, im waiting for them to cool down now....

    I just tried this recipe and It was surprisingly moist and fluffy I thought it would be really dense because that’s how it looks in the video, so it was a nice surprise, I will be using the buttercream and simple syrup so it can taste just like Yolanda’s!

    A review of the cake: It is downright delicious BUT be careful when stacking it because it is much too soft and very crumbly. I just wasted so much because the cake fell apart. If stacking, just level it and not torte anymore. However, there will be a lot of caramelization for taller cakes. This cake is delicious for sure, but why bake a cake that you need to remove the bottom of? So much wastage for bakers who don't make cake pops. But for a regular vanilla cake that is not for stacking, this cake is the way to go.

      Chill before stacking and removing caramelization is for the purpose of having a beautiful white cake...they eat the leftover parts duh😂

    I made the cake, it was amazing soft and tasty before decorating it. I used your Italian meringue buttercream recipe, but when I cut it open the vanilla cake was not that soft anymore, even if I used syrup before. What went wrong?
