In many ways cats were the most important animal to domesticate. Civilization developed in the Euphrates basin but advanced civilization developed in the Nile Delta(Egypt) and was dependent upon cats, who protected the royal granaries. The cat protected them in the so-called Dark Ages too.

African wildcat is still so closely related to housecat that they can interbreed. Mine did when we were working in Africa. You end up with a very skittish housecat. Cats are wonderful creatures! They not only kill mice, but also snakes, spiders and scorpions. They can even be taught to hunt birds for humans, and were used to hunt at one time. No idea how they didn’t get stung but mine would eat the scorpions and only the stinger was left untouched. Anyone who doesn’t like cats is a person who doesn’t respect animals because they are not things to use. Cats have a respectful relationship with humans. You can’t abuse them and have them stay like with dogs. I have cats and dogs and love both.

The NASA's recent observation about Earth being greener and greener (absorving CO2, producing oxigen, retaining carbon) and the increase of oxigen's production by the marine algae (absorving CO2, producing oxigen, retaining carbon) are new factors that wasn't measured nor taken in the equation yet. About CO2 being released from/being absorved by the sea's waters have already been proved to be a consequence of temperature variation, not a cause.

There are several stories from Bhutan when people sat on a giant deer's horns with one person on each horn to balance it. This took place 50 years ago which is way more recent than discussed in the video. So, I am not sure if these Bhutanese deer are the same kind as the ones in the video, but I can't find any other deer that is large enough with ridable horns in that region.
